Battery energy storage systems
We help our clients design, build, and operate their portfolio of battery energy storage assets. These are integral to enabling an increased use of renewables and decarbonising the electricity grid and as we transition towards Net Zero.
As BESS projects continue to scale up, higher voltage connections are required. At Energy-io we use our Tier 1 transmission experience to design, construct and connect projects up to 400kV - delivering resilient, reliable grid connected assets.

Onshore wind projects
Wind power is an abundant natural resource that has been key to the decarbonising of the grid over the past 30 years. Onshore wind will continue to play a critical role in the UK’s energy transition to Net Zero.
Our team are highly experienced in the design, build and commissioning of large-scale wind projects, having delivered some of the UK's most significant renewable energy projects. We are focused on managing these critical stages to ensure a safe and productive site.

Transmission substations
Our team is experienced in major transmission substation projects from years of working within and delivering projects for Transmission Network Operators in the UK.
The team are experienced with both AIS and GIS substations at 132kV, 275kV and 400kV. We have worked on all stages of the project lifecycle from feasibility, through development, construction, commissioning, and final handover. This positions us well for delivering developer connections to the Transmission Network.
